BEFORE BABY

Ahhh the carefree baby-free days. I LOVE my daughter and would never trade her for ANYTHING.
However a coworker of mine is about to deliver and asked me for suggestions of what I would do before baby arrives....

My recommendations for some pre-baby fun:
·         Get a hair cut
·         Go grocery shopping
·         Get a mani / pedi
·         Watch a movie!
·         Go TO the movies!
·         Go for a walk by myself
·         Have a nice long dinner out with my husband
·         SLEEP IN!!!
·         Take a loooooong shower

I love my baby dearly and love my mommy life, but these are things I recommend for those child-free days before baby arrives. You won't WANT to do these things after your sweet child is in your life because as hard it is sounds to believe, I would rather push my daughter in a swing at the park than get a pedicure. It's true. Love you, baby.

Slow down, summer

The sun is setting earlier and the days are already getting shorter. We have been loving spending the afternoon at the park, enjoying the warm weather.

Things have been "slow" here because life has been crazy- You may have noticed that my blog site was redesigned. Thanks to Jen at Magic Feather Designs. She waves her magic wand and your dream site is a reality.

We also had a huge water leak in our bathroom which means we have to completely renovate, which is good and bad. We are hoping to have a transformation something like this:

After some unsuccessful house hunting in our current neighborhood we have also been pondering a change in location. We have both been in Virginia for over 10 years so it's hard to imagine living somewhere else but I think we are ready to try something new.

Oh and I will be sharing some reviews of my two most recently discovered favorite brands- Bun Maternity (they make very clever nursing tanks!), and Fresh Wave natural odor removing products (no more complaints about a stinky diaper pale)!

Stay tuned for more updates!

The "Do It All" Umbrella Stroller, VUE LITE

This is not your ordinary umbrella stroller. First of all, this is made by the trusted brand that has brought you the beloved City Mini, City Versa and City Select stollers. Yes, BabyJogger is a name you know well- but you may not know about their amazingly versatile umbrella strollers, Vue and Vue Lite. The kind folks at BabyJogger sent me this sleek grey Vue Lite stroller to take for a test drive. I am sort of in love with it, and I know you will be, too.

Happiness at MOMMYCON

Keira and I went downtown today to checkout the mothering event of the summer- MOMMYCON DC! We spoke with many vendors about possible giveaways and reviews. I will be sharing those I deem worthy with you, my readers. Here is a recap of our experience and some previews of exciting new products from brands you probably already know.

MOMS LOVE Motherlove

Having a new baby is hard, but Motherlove makes it easier. No worries about toxic chemicals.
In fact, you could probably spread a little bit of this nipple cream onto a baguette and enjoy it with some bruschetta and roasted garlic.
