BABY{WEARING} LOVE: BABY K'TAN EDITION

I was still using the K'Tan when Keira was 9 months. I absolutely love this photo taken at the end of last summer. My sweet baby has the darkest, most mysterious eyes.

What is a Baby K'Tan carrier?
A wrap without all the wrapping!

The Baby K’tan is an innovative “ready to wear” wrap. Its unique double-loop design functions as an all-in-one sling, wrap and baby carrier, yet does not require any wrapping or buckling. Simply slip it on like a t-shirt! The Baby K’tan is sized like clothing for the perfect fit (XS, S, M, L, XL) and offers multiple positions from 8-35 lb (consult physician for preemie).

Evenly distributes weight across shoulders and back.
Adjustable band provides optimal back support.
Multiple wearing positions, for babies weighing 8-35lb.
Soft head support for baby.
Ergonomic positioning for healthy infant development.
Sash provides added security and converts to storage bag.

Slips on in 3 simple steps.

Below you can see me wearing my Organic K'Tan in size Small.
(for reference, I am 5'3" and approximately 135 pounds)

Some of the best times we had babywearing were happily at home, just relaxing together. I love feeling my newborn's soft chubby little cheek resting on my chest.

We also went for some short hikes and the soft organic cotton kept baby warm and cozy.

We LOVE Babywearing!

  1. These carriers that go on like a t-shirt are awesome. So easy to fold up to put in the diaper bag. I haven't tried the K-tan but I have tried the JJ Cole agility. Love that this one is organic!!

    1. The fabric is very soft and since baby is chewing on it I love that it's organic too!

  2. Have been hearing you rave about the K-tan! I really liked the Moby but ultimately ditched it because of all the wrapping! Plus- my husband would NEVER use it...he claimed that "nobody was happy" when he was trying to wrap it...would love the K-tan!

    1. It's so easy! You can't really share it with you hubby (unless you are the same size) but personally I always wanted to wear her! You will love it.

  3. With my first baby I gave in to my husbands wish and bought the Baby Bjorn... Guess who never used it and who was stuck with the one she did not want. Second time around I really want the K-tan :)

    1. I highly recommend the KTan for newborns and infants (up to 7-9 months). I switched to the Boba primarily after that. I've never tried the Bjorn but have heard that it's not comfortable compared to KTan or Boba.

  4. I have several carriers but not a K'Tan. #2 is super needy so he's constantly worn.

    1. Felicity- I have a needy one too, I hear you! K'Tan is great for high needs babies! I didn't realize I had a high needs baby for several months because I just wore her all the time.

    1. Amy- I've never tried the Moby but have used a woven wrap and yes this is easier. Mostly because the fabric is not long, it's just two loops that you criss cross. It takes maybe two times practicing in the mirror and after that you'll be a Pro... I had family members so impressed that I could get baby in there in just a few seconds. And she would also just pass right out while I walked around. She actually slept through a friends baby shower in there!

  6. I am expecting #2 in August and plan on baby wearing a lot while chasing my toddler! The other wraps and carriers I used with him were so bulky and complicated! I am dying for a K'tan! It looks awesome!

    1. April- Getting the right fit is important. Hang on to that too-small one if you are newly postpartum. As your body shrinks, you may prefer that tighter fit.

  9. We just had triplets in April and we decided it was best to get around using a double stroller and a baby carrier (triple strollers are super heavy!) Winning this would help us financially and also looks awesome too!

  10. My baby girl is almost 3 months and likes to be held all the time. I have a wrap carrier but it's a lot of work to wrap and unwrap especially since I basically have to wear her all day. I'd love a k'tan to make carrying my little girl a little easier!

  11. My little girl is 3 weeks old & has reflux issues & needs to be upright most of the time. I would love one of these carriers to be able to accomplish more without having to put her down somewhere. I would wear this everywhere! The airport, the store, the mall, the park. I would love one & I'd even get my husband into baby wearing!

  12. We are expecting our first baby soon, and I am really looking forward to babywearing. I just love how it keeps your baby close, and allows you to be hands free as well. Not to mention we could use this for running errands, going to the park, beach, zoo and when we travel. I love that the K'tan is organic, especially since I would love to use with my newborn. Not to mention it looks comfy for the baby and baby wearer.

  17. I was too afraid to wear my son when he was little and now we are having another baby in a few weeks. I really don't want to miss out on baby wearing him when he is a newborn and the baby ktan organic seems like the perfect carrier for infants. thanks for the chance.

  18. My wife started baby wearing our first at around three months postpartum and we haven't regretted it one bit! She is constantly buying wraps to try and struggles so much with them. Now expecting baby number two, the Ktab will defiantly be put to good use with both of the babies. Can't wait!
